Our Story

A Dream Simmered to Perfection

Welcome to Amore Italian Kitchen, where every dish is a labor of love and every guest is welcomed like family. Our journey began in July 2019, not just as a business venture, but as an expansion of our culinary passion. We, Kevin and Cora LaBarr, envisioned a place where the warmth of Italian hospitality would meet the rich, comforting flavors of authentic, scratch-made cooking. Amore Italian Kitchen is the realization of that dream, a place where we pour our hearts into creating a memorable dining experience.

Our Owners & Our Family

The Heartbeat of Amore.

Amore Italian Kitchen is proudly owned and operated by us, Kevin and Cora LaBarr. As a husband-and-wife team, we are deeply involved in every aspect of the restaurant. This hands-on approach stems from our belief that a restaurant is an extension of our home. We are a locally owned establishment, deeply rooted in the community we serve. This connection is paramount, allowing us to foster genuine relationships with our patrons.

Our Food

A Culinary Journey to Italy

At Amore Italian Kitchen, we specialize in scratch-made Italian cuisine, a tribute to Italy’s rich culinary heritage. Our menu celebrates authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and traditional cooking. We believe the best food starts with the best ingredients, so we are committed to sourcing local and organic produce whenever possible. Our chefs transform these selections into homemade elements, from robust sauces simmered for hours to freshly baked bread.

Two years ago, we were taken to this hidden gem for a company holiday dinner. One bite in, and we knew—we had just found our favorite Italian spot. It didn’t matter that it was an hour away; we’ve made the drive back roughly 10 times since then. Yes, it’s that good.

I have gotten take out many times. I dined in for thr first time in March. The food, delicious and plentiful. The broccoli and cheddar soup, over the top delicious. Chicken fettuccine, delicious. GREAT sauce and plentiful. The service, impeccable. Our server made sure all our needs were taken care of. Yesterday, I had an order delivered. It was pure perfection. Delicious and accurate. Thank for a job well done. Janet Watkins Wynn.

Holy cow! This place is a hidden gem of an Italian restaurant. Everything is made from scratch and that care comes through in the quality and taste of the food. This is our new favorite Italian restaurant and it is unlikely that we will go to any other middle or high end place for Italian food. The value for the dollar is incredibly high here both for the taste and quantity of the food. The chicken parmesan was the size of a pork tenderloin.

We waited to be seated for about 5 minutes, just because the host stand was unoccupied. The waiter stopped by our table after about 5-10 minutes, and we already knew what we wanted which is good because it became clear that the service was pretty slow. Our bread and salads came out quickly enough though. And the salad was unexpectedly very good.
